50% of the time my transmission wont shift from 2nd to 3rd unless i remove my foot from the gas then it shifts perfectly if i stay in the gas like you normally would the rpms just keep going up and it does not shift. Any ideas or suggestions ?

Have you checked the cable that goes to the trans and the throttle body that it moves freely and is adjusted ?

You can also do a trans service and change the filter , it could be the filter is plugged up or even loose ,

A signal from the TPS goes to the PCM/ECU and affects shifting. You might test it.

Do some drain and refills on the transmission. There's a drain plug on the pain and you can drain out a couple quarts at a time. The SuperTech ATF at Walmart is decent stuff, good price. Maybe do a drain and refill once a week for a few weeks and see how it does.

It's an old wives-tale that changing your transmission fluid will make it blow up. If your transmission fails afterwards, it was about to die anyways.
