Default Can i use snow chains on my 1996 jeep cherokee 4x4 automatic
wondering if it will hurt the drive train?

I run studded snow tires here in the winter and have never come close to ever needing chains, and we get a lot of snow. Even after the snowplows polish the ice around here, I still go and stop just fine.
