Default 1994 cherokee

I have a 1994 cherokee and the check engine light came on mow it wants to bog sow when it first starts what would cause this

Check the codes by doing the key-on key-off trick. Google search "Jeep Cherokee code xxxxx" and go from there.

12 and 55 disregard 21 it o2 sensor start there

only testing or replacing will tell which it is ,taking the negative battery post of for about 15 minutes should cure the light

the light is there to tell you there is a issue in that area ,most of the time replacing the part that the codes are for will correct it but its not a guarantee ever
