Default 1993 Cherokee driveshaft

I am looking at buying a 1993 cherokee 4-door 2wd 5 speed for dirt cheap but it needs a new driveshaft. Will a driveshaft from a 4wd cherokke that is automatic fit? Also, I own a 1996 cherokee 4wd that i have set up with a 3 inch lift on 31s and the only thing i dont like about the vehicle is that it is automatic. would it be worth it to take the manual tranny from the other jeep and swap it into my 96 and put the auto in the 93? Thanks

no. since it is a 2wd there is no transfer case and needs a much longer driveshaft. if you were going to swap transmissions, you will need to change the output shaft so the 5 speed will mate to the transfer case (if i recall correctly, someone correct me if i am wrong.)
