Default 1997 4.0 question

Would a 1997 4.0 from a Jeep Grand Cherokee be the same engine as the 4.0 from a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport ? I'm thinking about replacing the engine in my Cherokee Sport with a great deal I found on a low mileage 4.0 from a Grand Cherokee.

Also, the door panel shows my Jeep Cherokee as a 1997 year model, but it is titled as 1998 and the owners manual is for a 1998. Are these two models identical ?

Thanks,
Charles
