Red face 1993 cherokee 2.5 l

I have a broken sensor that I don't know the name. It is located at the drivers' side rear of the engine. It goes into the engine block or cylinder head. I have a 1993 cherokee 2.5 litre. I have looked for a picture in the repair manual but cannot find a picture. Help !!!!!!

I think it may be a coolant temperature sensor for the gauge. My temperature gauge does not work.

Im not sure if its the same with yours, but the only thing like that I can think of right now on my 89 would be the coolant temp sensor...
