Default 1991 battery problem!

I have a 91 cherokee and if I leave the battery terminal on for more than a couple hours then my battery dies. I've been taking the positive off and on for about a week and need to fix the problem. Any help?

Sounds more like an electrical problem than the battery.

I take the battery off so I don't come out to a dead battery at 6 am when i need to go to work. Was wondering if anyone knew what it could be.

Very simple , make sure door is closed after you pull each fuse.....http://www.ehow.com/how_6073508_chec...drain-car.html

Use a test light and start pulling fuses? But to have all the doors closed?

Watch the video. You need a multimeter to check the draw. The test light won't help. I had a problem like you do with the battery draining and after finding the video I found that my under hood light wasn't turning off when it was closed and a draw from the radio.

You remove neg cable on battery . The test light gets connected to the neg post on battery and the end of ground cable you just removed. The test light will light up a very dim lights normal things like radio memory and clock will cause this. Now open the door and remove a fuse shut the door . Did light on test light get dimmer ? When it gets noticeably dimmer you've found where you issue is . Replace each fuse after each test so you don't end up with a pile of fuses on floorboard. Hood light if equipped must be disconnected and door shut after you remove each fuse or door being open will make light brighter.
