All OEM related XJ specific tech. Examples, no start, general maintenance or anything that's stock.
1. checked the 4 relays and cleaned them.
2. checked the ground points at the engine passengers side. The battery negativ was at the same spot as the 3 other wires. I cleaned everything and put them back on. The negativ battery cable goes to the plug right ahead of them.
3. Voltage at cars side of the o2 plug is 14.5 Volts on is ground and one is 4,93 Volts when car is idling.
4. put new spark plugs in (came with the rock auto order) put the bosch ones out, they are deeper in the head as the original ones so I guess it is better to use the new ones.
Ordered some paerts to built the engine to firewall ground and the battery negativ to the engine on the drivers side.
What else can be done?
There comes a lot of blow out of the front connector in the valve cover. Can I do something against? The hoose from the multi point to the airbox is dead to so I have nothing installed at the moment, is this bad? The blowby comes out there

You can do cruiser's valve cover mod to help lessen the amount of oil being sucked out of the vc - basically you just take the cover off (clean inside there as well as you can, ideally with a shop vac/air compressor) - then trim the oil drain tubes that stick down from the top of the cover where the CCV ports are down by maybe an inch - and if it doesn't have holes in it, drill 1 on each of them.
All of these Renixes have blowby, you just need to do the best you can to minimize it. The mod and new CCV tubes/fittings and cleaning the VC are the first steps, if not the only ones. Otherwise just replace your air filter more often and live with it.
I was getting pretty bad mileage and I started with cruisers tips then did fuel injectors and it ran better but not too much better in the mileage department. I then decided to replace my fluids in the differentials and transfercase and transmission(manual) as my car is super old and I didn't know if anyone had ever done it before me. I went from 14mpg on the highway to 22. No joke, I think my car was either having a hard time rotating parts because it was low on fluids or just the fluids were so old and broken down they weren't actually lubricating like they should. So if you haven't changed them try that. A little pricey buying that much fluid at once but way worth it for me with the end result.
To the others who talked about driving inefficient vehicle or tires and lift hurting economy, if the OP knows what his fuel economy should be and knows its not right, then something is wrong. As an example, my 01 XJ is getting poor fuel economy right now. 15.5 on the highway, less around town. It should be getting 17-22 on the highway as it has done for the last 10 years that I have owned it.
fuel injectors will barely affect gas mileage - maybe 1mpg better at the most, but you may see a 1-2mpg increase simply because you'll be cleaning the ports and putting in clean injectors.
The stock injectors (the renix ones anyway) were a fire hazard since they could split/leak due to the stupid 2 piece design, so must be replaced anyway.
All 4.0's will get a huge boost in throttle response from 4 port injectors, though. The Bosch 4 ports that I put in mine open the thing up like a bat out of hell, the transmission can't even keep up when I gun it from a stop.
I will expect your fuel economy to be better now that the O2 sensor has been replaced. Have you checked fuel economy now that you have changed the O2 and spark plugs?

Hallo Steffan .

LOL... yes I did. That MAP line will help as well. You need to fix and secure all vacuum leaks on all components. Anything leaking will create a false draw on the motor and make it believe that it needs to work harder than it really does... which translates into more fuel consumption.
Did you clean out the IAC? Make sure that's clean of all debris as well. Carbon builds up on that and keeps it from making good contact on the mating surface.
I changed ALL vac lines to better ones and got rid off this plastic thing where some of them came together.
I also installed that engine to firewall ground cable and one from battery to the car.
I checked the TPS and wrote down the voltages, after that I turned it to the exact 17 percent of the reference voltage. Is it that bad how it was before I changed it?
