Default 1990 cherokee cranks but wont start

the last couple of mornings my jeep would not start. it cranks but will not start. when I get home in the evenings it fires right up. I drove it all weekend with no issues, now it will not start at all. it has fuel,(or pressure coming from the fuel rail) but not spark at the plugs or coming out of the coil. I did notice the radio was losing its memory prior to the no start problem. I replaced the neutral safety switch a few weeks ago, and I have replaced the crank postion sensor twice in the last 5 years, most recently about 2 years ago. how can I test the coil, and the ignition control module. any ideas on what it might be. i have read after market crank sensors suck. I believe I got it from Rock Auto. I also read the crank sensor fails when it warms up, but before it died completely in seemed to start after driving.

Good suggestion but cannot be done on 90 and down. You can only read live data and only a few have a scanner that would do that.

That's why I suggested he TEST it. Takes about 22 seconds to do with a $5 meter.

Did you do Cruisers tips yet? Like ground refreshing, I wasted a ton of money chasing the same problem ended up being a dirty ground at the dipstick. Do yourself a favor and do his tips, they are pretty much free and it will help in the long run.
