My 1990 Cherokee 4.0 has no spark when cold. Once the outside temp warms up it starts just fine. I recently replaced the crank position sensor and no improvement.

...Solved by adding a new ground connection from the battery to the inside fender.

Even though the original ground lead from the head to the firewall appeared good, as a test I used a jumper cable from battery negative to chassis. Car started right up.
