1989 XJ Won't turn over
RESOLVED, simply a bad connector. If an admin would lock this thread, that'd be cool
I have a 1989 XJ Laredo, and we went down to the mud pits yesterday with no problems, got home and went to give a buddy of mine a ride home, and she won't start. I just replaced the battery cables a week ago, new starter and sellanoid last month and a new alternator less than a week ago. The fuses are fine and, from what I could find here, that's pretty much all the most common problems. She's bone stock, save for aftermarket repair parts (I've only had her about seven months), which have all been installed correctly. I'm pretty new to the money pit that is Jeep ownership, but I am a fairly well-rounded mechanic. It's just about 17 degrees here and I'd like to have the warmth of my desktop and someone more familiar with the '89 than me as apposed to being out there for hours, trying to find the problem. Anyone know what may be the cause?
Thanks,
Jim

Well my intermittent no start issue on my 89 was caused by a loose MAP Sensor plug because the clip on the plug broke. Zip tied the MAP Sensor up so it wouldn't loosen up again and my XJ starts every time now.
