Recently i swapped the front doors from my 1990 cherokee Laredo to my 1989 cherokee laredo, and now the remote keyless entry stopped working.

Do i have to reprogram it or what? I replaced the batteries in the remote and the little red light comes on when i press the button, but there seems to be nothing happening in the jeep.

 

Which vechile had the keyless entry? If the 89 did does you 90 have the key fob sensor? If the 89 didnt have keyless entry then it is the doors.

 

the 89 had the keyless, but i don't think the 90 did

 

If it has the sensor sticking throught the headliner then it does or cover by the over head console, If it doent then it dont have the system.

 

i know i have the rke, cause im using the jeep it came with, just different doors on it, and didn't know if i had to re program it or something

 

the doors probably arent set up for the keyless entry.
