Well I drove it till it sputtered and when I put the gauge on it turned off. Started up again and fuel pressure was in the low 20's. Fuel pump is dead. Bought a new pump and noticed the ground wire on the old pump was toasted had to replace it too. Now with new pump it runs good. Thanks for all your help. What does the toasted ground mean?

The toasted wire was probably not fastened tightly to the fuel pump and module terminals.
Or, you have a poor fuel pump ground.
Or, the fuel pump was drawing too much amperage.
