Default 1989 Engine wiring connector

Hi all - apologies if this is a repeat as I don't see my post from earlier today. I have a new to me 1989/90 engine harness and I am trying to figure out what the heavy gauge orange/black-stripe and black wires that come from a two pin connector on the passenger side and run through to the fuse box are for. Main power? If so, can someone post a picture of what the other end of the two-pin connector looks like and where the wires originate. Maybe from a fusible link or directly from the battery?? This harness is replacing a 1987 harness, so they are apparently different in this particular area (as well as the whole big known differences!).

Hmmm. An 89? Check Cruiser54's site. He's The Man on that era Cherokee, and might have what you are looking for.

Yes, I will certainly read through the Cruiser54 posts.
As I review schematics more I am thinking the wires and connector in question are for the heater blower motor. The wires are there on my 87 harness too, but the connector is different. I’ll look at the heater tomorrow and see if the plug is a match.
One day I’ll admit all the Tom-foolery I am attempting, but for now… I’m thinking 89 Cherokee.

That is it! Many thanks. I will certainly be reading through your site - having read some your responses to others' question - you are a wealth of knowledge on these vehicles. I like your thoughts on the "HO", I think that was you?? Another member sent a factory wiring schematic (S) for the 89 - happy reading there!
Cheers!
Mark
