Default 1987 Cherokee Chief Stalls Randomly/backfires/Hard to start

I have a 1987 Cherokee (290,000kms) and when shes not stalling shes runs quiet well but at idle sometimes she randomly just stalls almost like complete fuel loss might be 10 minutes idling or 5, always at idle though. It also backfires like crazy when you flick the throttle off idle, but if its at a constant RPM or higher RPM it does not backfire,

On a cold start it could take 10-15 cranks, I know the renix system is a slow starter but seems excessive.

I am not sure if the two problems are related but here is what I have done and what I have noticed.

Things done:

-Compression check: 120, 122,130,120,118,122
-Upgraded grounds
-Cleaned C101 (want to solder all the connections)
-Cleaned Coil/ICM Contacts
-Cleaned throttle body and IAC (it was sick)
-Replaced air filter
-Replaced plugs
-Replaced Distributor cap
-Replaced CCV hose

Noticed:

-Previous owner disconnected egr and plugged vacuum line. I was thinking of replacing this but its a pretty penny to replace the valve if thats why it was disconnected.
-I never adjusted TPS that is on my list of to dos
-Idle is somewhat normal, it idles about 700 but the needle moves a hundred in either direction.
-Pretty sure there is an exhaust leak but does not sound like its from the headers more from the middle.
-For slow cold starts fuel pump can be heard turning on, if the filter is plugged that another story.
-Vehicle has been sitting for months, no idea if it has these issues before but I would assume so. Had one good 50KM run driving it home then sat for another month.

Any help is appreciated. I am sure it's something silly. It's not a daily driver so I am not in a big rush as she is going to get an AX15 swapped in but would like to know she runs good before I swap that in.

Just an update as I was going through the forum and saw my post. It ended up being either the coil or the ICM I just swapped both from another Jeep. I am pretty sure it was the coil as it had a faint spark.

Runs great now!
