Are you talking about the firewall end of the fuel rail?

Looks like this?

If you look about halfway down this page, they have "Fuel & Cooler Line Quick Connector Repair Kit Cherokee & Comanche 1987-1996"
looks like this.

You need to replace the whole line that would be your safest bet

you can get the clip portion from the help section at the parts store. It's a GM part, and comes on a length of tubing. Should be about 19 dollars-ish.
My fix was to cut off the bad fitting and slide about 6 inches worth of the tube with the new fitting down the existing fuel line. Then I used racing fuel clamps to secure it. Did this five years ago and it works fine with no leaks.
Put some lithium grease on the fuel rail nipple to avoid tearing the O-ring inside the clip.

Who is "they"? I can't believe that the local auto parts store couldn't help you with that.

Some of the parts found on our Cherokees' are GM parts, what may be discontinued at chrysler will most likely be available from GM.

There's a repair kit for the fitting. 2 o-rings and a spacer.

It looks like he's (or she's?) leaking at the crimp, not at the quick-disconnect. I have no idea where that line converts to a hardline but it certainly must be available from someone. You could have one made, if necessary.
