So we have replaced the intake coupling to the throttle body, replaced the vacuum hoses and replaced the intake manifold gasket ,thoroughly cleaned out the throttle body, And replaced both throttle body gaskets, And replaced the cold air induction system. Also has a new idle air control valve.

Also what do you mean by "issues idling" - that could be any number of things. Is it having trouble staying started, it's idling too high, too low, etc.

You might also consider checking your fuel pressure/delivery after doing Cruiser's tips.

Also, if you didn't know, Cruiser was a former Jeep head mechanic and is pretty much a "Jeep God" as far as Jeeps of your year go - so you really couldn't ask for a better person to help you.

She idles between 5 and 1 while warming.
which is better than where she was idling at..which was 10 to 1. If she doesn't get at least 15 minutes to warm up she idles funny at stops.

I'm glad that there are people here who have experience. I'm open to any help. I love my jeep!

I also checked the fuel pump and regulator..they are right on where they need to be.
but I'll check that too. Thank you!

Check the plugs for fouling, check the distributor cap + rotor + wires too. Also check the ignition coil for any cracking or anything wrong.

Could also be the upstream O2 sensor. Unless the cat is clogged, I doubt it is causing an issue on your 87 - only the upstream o2 sensor affects engine tuning

Only has one O2 sensor.

I had some tiny cracking (barely visible) on my ignition coil, right at the mounting location - I replaced it with a new Mopar coil (~$50 via RockAuto) and it made a noticeable improvement in my engine idle.

My 95 is also just the single O2 sensor.
