1986 Cherokee XJ 4WD Command-Trac Engage problem
Okay, so I have an '86 cherokee, 2.8 V6, Automatic, Command-Trac Four Wheel Drive system. When I got stuck in the snow today, I pulled the lever for the 4 Wheel Drive, and found out that the front wheels were not engageing and the indicator light on the dash wasn't on. The gear range will change when I put it into 4-L etc, But no front wheel activity. It was working fine yesterday. Are the auto-hubs Vacuum controled?

I'd assumed they used solid hub like XJs.
