1985 cherokee at a loss
I left the black hooked up as is. I will try to get a photo later of what I did. It looks kinda scrapped together, but I plan on rewiring later. I tried to find another connector but AZ told me it was a dealer only part, if you can find one you can wire into it and it will look more organized. I just used those connectors that one wire passes through and the other slides in beside it and you clamp it down to splice into it, they seem to be working just fine.

This first photo is where I used the old connector from the wires coming out of the firewall, I just cut it off and spliced the blue jumpers wires onto it. If you look close you will see the Orange, Purple and Black wires. The Black I connected back to the black wire that was originally on the connector. You could leave it connected and just add jumpers to the orange and purple if you like but the connector will have to stay near the block due to the length of the black wire.

Below is my splices into the control box wiring and the old three wire connector from the wiring harness. The green with black stripe is what the orange wire becomes as it comes out of the firewall. This is the one you have to cut, the green with white stripe goes to the negative side of the coil, I kept it intact so I didn't have to run another jumper to the coil. The black coming into the connector is the same black that is coming from the distributor in the first photo. Between the connector and the control module I spliced into the orange and purple wires connecting like colors to each other. I used the crimp splices to connect the blue jumper wires I added to the other connector to the orange and purple wires on the module. (really can't see the purple one here very well, it is hidden behind the green wire which is the wire connected the coil). What would probably work better in the future would be to get a male and female 4 prong connector and replace both sides to clean up the wiring somewhat.
The red and white from the module, go to the green and yellow on the wiring harness connected through the two wire connector, so you don't have to alter that one.

Not the best photos, but I hope they help.
Next thing I need to do is cleanup all the now useless components on the carb like the WOT switch and Solvac and needless vacuum hoses now that the computer is not being used.

Honestly I tried too hard to keep the stock connectors. It would be easiest to just cut the connector off the wires coming from the distributor and from the control box and just wire orange to orange, purple to purple, black to black then run a jumper from the green wire on the box to the negative side of the coil. With that you would just leave the connector from the computer there and tape them off to prevent shorts.
Leave the two wire connector in tact though, that doesn't need to be changed.
