Quote: Rusty's leafs and most other things are great products.

What most don't know or want to admit is Rusty and Rubicon Express both use the same leaf and coil manufacturer now.

I'd say buy them.. Good product.
RE's leafs are make in india now im pretty sure.

If this is the case than they have changed manufacturers since last Feb.

Check out my pics. I'm running Rusty's 8.5LA lift. It utilizes the 6.5" leafs w/ a larger shackle. I've had it for just over a year now and am still on the fence as to their 'quality'. Definately not happy with Rusty's service, but so far the product is holding up. I do have a bit of issue w/ axle wrap and find myself retightening the u-bolts once a month... My opinion is for $150 for the pair, why not, if you don't like 'em sell 'em to some-one else.

Someone mentioned the shocks that come w/ the lift kit suck, yes they do! I replaced mine w/ a set of Bilsteins after just one month.

sorry been workin all dang day and just got home... i asked why he was getting rid of them and said hes doing a custom 4 link with coils or somethin wild like that... hes keeping the front... i looked on rustys last night and i think these things new are closer to $400 shipped... i cant really remember now... he said he had a 4.5in originaly and then he got the 6.5 bout 6 months ago and now he wants coils in the back... some people just have money i guess... of course i would look at them first and check them out before i got them... but sounds like a deal to me... yeah 4.5 and some shackles may give me more flex but i havent come across a deal on them yet... lol... in fact im gonna keep searchin for a front setup so these wont even be going in for awhile... unless i want the back hiked way up in the air... lol

x2 on all this info.

I have these leafs and have had no problems in the time I have run them. They are just now finally breaking in a couple years after installing them. $150 is a good deal since they are $299 new without shipping and I think I paid about $330 shipped or so for mine.

If you read the description on all of Rusty's spring packs, it does NOT say made in the U.S.A. it just says made in North America, which would include Canada. But those guys seem like jerks when you call up and talk to them.

As far as the Made in The USA label goes, it can be misleading. A Durst wheel gearbox made in China and shipped assembled, must say Made in China on it. If all of the components are made in China, but final assembly occurs in the US, Durst can label it Made in The USA. Same gearbox with the same parts, but different assembly plants. I suspect the same is true with other products as well.

Really to me it doesnt really matter how "nice" rustys people are cause im buying these used and if they did tear up id probly just go buy some more instead of calling them and trying to work something out... just how things are these days... unless of course they have a lifetime warranty and you dont have to show proof that u purchased them yourself. then i would call them of course... he pulled them off yesterday and im planning to go see this weekend i think. finally getting over this stupid swin flu junk... dang stomach pains are the worse... anyway when it comes to made in usa and made in china... ever since NAFTA came along that has all been screwed up... I mean dont get me wrong im one that actually thinks NAFTA was a good thing but i think it should have had more boundries laid before it was passed. I mean we got saturns and kias being made right here in america and then chevy and dodges in dang mexico... so i dunno... its our own fault for letting it happen... and if you were to elect me as president i would make this right... but somehow i dont see that happening any time soon... lol
