Can anyone confirm whether a 2002 WJ 4.0 flexplate will interchange with a 2001 XJ 4.0 flexplate? Thanks.

Hi cruiser54,
Maybe I should have been more specific. Can I use a 02 WJ flexplate on a 01 XJ? We replaced the original cracked flexplate on my sons XJ (at about 214k miles) a little over a year ago with one from Oreilly's and it is already cracked and out of warranty. I have a flexplate from an 02 WJ 4.0 in very good condition but I won't be able to compare them until this weekend when I drive up to my sons place to replace it. I'm just trying to get some information before I go. I know the XJ uses an AW4 and the WJ is a 42RE but they seem to have the same specs for size and diameter.
Thanks for your help. I have used many of your tips on my 87 Wagoneer.
