01 laredo issues...I think it has turrets!
My poor jeep, I've had this vehicle since '05. I have taken extreme care with all check ups, oil changes, etc.... last year I took it to a local mechanic/friend because of extremely rough idling, changed pack n plugs. did fine for a bit, then it started again. this time it started bucking, cutting out for a split second, rev up real fast, jerking.... Then it'll be fine for weeks, then start again. The engine light will be on sometimes when it does it, and it does it when it's off. I tend to think it's the computer, but from every thread and site I've read, No One has described anything like what I'm going through.
It's been like this for a year now cause I've been too broke to fix it, yet I NEED it since I can't drive it out of town....
I've heard of a company in Florida that can send you a refurbished computer and program it.
What ya'll think?
Btw, my Jeep has great sentimental value to me, I lived in it for 3 months after Katrina, air mattress in back and all, I will NEVER part with my Cherokee!!
Oh, it's a 4.0

Have you checked all of the grounds? To make sure they are clean tight and in otherwise good condition? There should be a big on on the back of the head, and the should be a pack of them on the oil dipstick tube.

First plug a realtime scanner in there and verify that your sensors are all doing what they are supposed to be.... an intermittent in the right place could be sending the PCM on a carnival ride.
