Ok I searched everywhere and got no good answers so.... I have a hitch. I have a d ring for it. I like it , it works fine. But I want rear tow hooks. I'm not attatching horizontal chevy ones to my leaf springs, and I'm not trading the hitch for a factory tow hook.
Can I use my hitch bolts to mount tow hooks...? Eyeballing it it looks like it would fit on there...
It would be on the two closest to the back. edit: actually either of the two sets, maybe deeper in will be cooler and more concealed, also the hooks might not fit in with the rear-most ones XP
Edit: ps the black electiecal tape used to be my hitch lights hookup. i crested a hill, landed hard on it, and it is no longer with us... so i hulk-ripped that b*tch out. ha

Honestly I wouldn't use those bolts. The first time you use them they will bent the bolts and you wont ever be able to get the hitch off. Why do you want actual tow hooks anyways? I'm not a fan of hooks anyways. Had to many tow straps slip off. D-rings are the way to go.
I think this is what jeepcherokee89 is talking about.
