I have no Heat. My 2000 doesn't Have a Heater control valve, so i know its not that. Both heater hoses are hot to the touch. When I turn the heat adjustment from Blue to red, Its just out side air temp coming in, no temp change. I'm Thinking I have a broken blend door. Anything i should check, before I go any farther with this.....

 

Flush the heater core.

 

If you say that both heater hoses going to the heater core are hot and seem to be the same temp. You are more then likely right about the blend door being your problem. Now if the inlet heater hose is hotter then the outlet hose then it would more then likely be a clogged heater core and it will need a good flushing.

 

Here's a diagram of your blend door circuit.

You can see if the blend-air door actuator is working by climbing in the passenger footwell and looking up at the actuator, above the floor vent . With the key in RUN, move the temp selector from blue to red and back and observe the action of the actuator. If there's no movement, more than likely the actuator is shot or the blend-air door is jambed. Of course, check fuse F25 in the JB. F25 will be the 15 amp fuse, third fuse up from the bottom in the right (rear) bank of mini fuses.

 

OK I Unbolted the blend-air door actuator, While it was still hooked up (With key on) I turned the Blend ***. The actuator did nothing.

 

The board looks Dis-colored

 

Absolutely does. That is burned circuitry and could absolutely be the problem. I'd find a salvage yard replacement and try that.

 

Jeep had a cable operated door up until '98. They should have kept that system instead going to that rocket science electronic actuator.

 

No kidding! They really know how to screw up a good operating system. I would rather work on my 65 Chevy P/U any day of the week over working on my 98 XJ.

 

I took the Circuit board in to work to see if I Could replace the resistors. It looks like it had moisture in there at some point. If I cant fix it ill by a new motor. At-least there's heat!
