Default Is their a Feedback section???

Is their a section for feedback?? Im am purchasing a part from a member and I was curious if there was a location where or if there is a spot for this?? If not, a feedback section would be great, so others would know who to deal with and not to deal with!
TIA

That not a bad idea. A couple other forums have a sticky for people to post about their good or bad experiences with other members. You should post this in the cf suggestions section.

Yeah I'd love a feedback option. Just need to work out how to implement it properly. I am leary of them as if someone gets mad over petty issues like shipping is to high they will give them bad feedback and that's not fair. No way to control the validity and truthfulness of it. So basically both ends there's a certain amount of trust. If I could implement a way so that only major issues are reported like getting ripped off, not getting what you paid for, slow service ie take the order and says its on stock when it isn't and you finally get the products 1-2 months later...I do not knwo but lots to ponder.

This would be a good idea for those of us who sell a lot of stuff on here and then a new person joins the site and is leary of purchasing. If they can see someone has had X number of successful positive sales it would put their mind at ease. But at the same time I agree with what OKC mentions in that every now and then you get that person who may be unreasonable or overly demanding who will leave a bad review over something trivial.

As a quick example: Long ago I sold some guy 40 pieces of FiestaWare (An old 50's brand of colored tableware) for maybe 40% of it's real value. Something happened in shipping and 3-4 pieces of it got cracked. Long story short he said he'd "settle" for HALF his money back. (Is'nt that nice of him? Willing to only want half the money back when just 10% of the stuff was cracked) When I told him that was unreasonable especially considering I had already sold him $1000 worth of plates for $400 he left harsh negative feedback...Or was I wrong?

Do something similiar to Pirate; in order to leave feedback of a negative fashion or dispute, you must post PROOF that 1) the transaction actually happened, 2) proof of your side of the dispute, and 3) proof (PM's, texts, e-mails, etc) that there were attempts made to resolve the problem.

I personally would also like to see a buyer feedback section. Maybe implement a points system for bad feedback. Give a bad seller a point when the dispute was deemed actual and of the sellers fault, after so many points they can no longer sale.

No, you weren't wrong. There's a reason buyers can purchase shipping insurance, and if anything always take pics of the product right before you box and ship it. The buyer should have filed a dispute with the shipping company; instead, he was backwoods ignorant, lazy, and decided to be Captain Dick of the U.S.S. Jackass.

All great ideas but then again that puts our staff in the position of deciding what's valid and what's not. Not going there. If it was up to me we wouldn't allow any for of selling or trading on the site. It opens an avenue that often brings out the worst in some and brings in the snakes. I think there are really good venues for selling products and I don't think a tech forum is that place.
