Check Harbor Freight. If you are mounting it on a Cherokee 8000 is the recommended size.

I bought my champion winch at tractor supply for 400 bucks. I've used it several times for "various" reasons. It works great but pulls slow. Worth the money though in my opinion.

Do you already have a bumper to put it in? or do you need a mount for it?

The champion comes with a mounting plate to sit on and for $50 I was able to get some bolts and steel to attach it to the frame rails.

Check out the new Smitty built winches they seem to be pretty good. I wouldn't get a winch smaller than 8000LB you'll regret it when you have to go looking for a new one later cause it wouldn't hold up.

if you can get to the junkyard, that's where mine is from i think. i run a ramsey, i'm not sure on the model though. most of the things on my jeep came straight outta the junkyard but they work like new.

Great winches, Crappy website!!!

BUT they are from Canada, so your American dollar will get you farther at the moment!

Everybody I know that has them is very happy with them. Check 'em out, the guy is pretty good at returning emails fairly quickly...at least he was when I contacted him.

Later.
