I am 99.9% sure that Commanchies are axle over spring configuration. I really want a plug and play solution then getting stuff welded and modified cause I cannot do that myself.

Or get an 8.25 with 4.10 from an XJ, which appear to be pretty plentiful.

I agree with what was mentioned in the last post. You wont find a "bolt in" D44 with 4.10 grears. I see you have a '94 and I'm wondering what gears do you have in your front axle now?
As for newer (97+) 8.25 with 4.10 gears are not as common as mjtjnj says- at least not in my part of the country. As I understand it those gear ratios only came in 4-cylinder versions of the XJ- which personally I've never witnessed in person, although I'm sure they exist.

I have the dreaded 3.07's. With my 32's it makes for alotta clutch work. I hate having to switch out of lo range when ever i have to go slow and steady.
I will check out that place in mays landing.

Never seen one with 4.10's stock... all the 4 bangers I have seen so far are 3.73... I have found 3 xj Dana 44's from 2x4 or 4x4 and only 4.0's... all were 3.55's... I sold 2 last year and am selling one now... get a 8.8... they had 4.10's stock... cheap and easy to weld on spring plates... brake lines the same... discs.... Dana 44's for auto stock geared Jeeps or a all out build...
