Want to get an xj because they are so cool and for a trail rig. Not looking to spend more than 2000 on it. doesnt have to be that nice but i dont want junk. Help a kid out

You get what pay for and $2000 is going to get you junk! I have a 2001 a/t 4X4 for $3800! It's in real good shape and runs strong, it has 146000 miles!

 

Hope you find something good. Just keep looking you'll find something good. It took me about 3 months to find my toy. I got her for 2000 bucks. 1987 4.5" lift with 33" Mickey thompsons. And 175k miles. Just keep looking and I'm sure you'll did a real good deal

 

yeah I'm not looking for anything to awesome... Basically stock so it can be my build.

 

Around here 2grand will get you a nice XJ. I got my both of my 91's for less than 1200 for both. To the OP, good luck and keep looking. You will find one.

Just be patient and you can find a good jeep on basically any budget.. Just know what to look for and know how to fix a couple of things.

 

$2000 is more than enough to get you a running xj.got my 96 from a friend for 500 bucks,she didnt have the money to get it fixed and i said ill give you 500 hundred for it now(i was only joking)and she said ok.i got it,took it to chrysler/jeep and it needed a cps and thats it,also got other things done to it that ended up costing me around 1700 bucks and its been running perfect ever since(knock on wood).check on ebay,im sure u will find a nice xj on there for cheap if not be patient,youll find one.
