props on the bumpers... i would get away from the channel though... use 3/16" sheet steel and just bent it... as for rear bumpers the pre 97s and 97 to presents are the same except for the trim which you just take 2 screws out of the bottom and pop it off the brackets... ill upload pics of my bumpers and put them on here if tey arent on my profile and when building a rear bumper highly consider putting a tire carrier on it because its no fun trying to get a 33"+ tire on your roof lol

im trying to stay away from plate bumpers because i cant afford to buy a sheet and make a bumper to spend 20+ hours on it and make $50 on it.
the channel is plenty strong and some people like it.
i plan on making a full tube bumper in the near future i just have to come up with the time to do it.

if you could make a rear bumper like this

and it worked with the stock hitch I'd totally be down to get a front n rear combo in the next few weeks

as for the d rings im using 1/2 inch steel and making them myself because i havnt found the weld on ones for less than $50 bucks a set

the 1/2 inch ones seem to be working just fine and will not be a weak point on the bumper

and i know what you mean, a guy i made one for showed up early at my house when i was almost done with his bumper and he watched me weld the d rings onto the front of his, after seeing it done he was a bit more confident lol. i welded mine on the front and ill run them for a while to prove that they can hold up.
here is another set a little more but deeper than jcr and thicker as well. http://nates4x4.com/catalog/product_...products_id=39

Nice looking work. I also like the tube bumper look front and rear. Also like your cargo basket. When you get the tube bumper done and posted and the front is winch capable, you have a customer here. Glad to see a man make a living for himself.. Keep us posted on the tube bumper's..
