- The axle tubes have been welded to the differential for added strength
- The shock mounts have been installed higher than on a Dana 35 to get more ground clearance for rock crawling

- Same bolt pattern as Jeep
- The Ford 8.8 is as strong as a 12-bolt
- The Ford 8.8 has near same width as Dana 35, keep your maneuverability on the trail instead of going with full size

-The axle shaft strength (tested by Warn Ind.) is as follows:

D35C= 4,000-4,300 (lb. ft.)

The only exception is for a Tj, there are 11 brackets (which =expensive to buy) so for a Tj we will cut off your dana 35 brackets and re-use them, or if you want new brackets it will cost an additional $300 for the new heavy duty bracket kit (expensive I know, but thats how much the brackets are we cant help that)
for cherokees, wrangler Yj, CJ etc. all new brackets will be used for no extra charge

This axle is looking pretty attractive to me except for 1 thing: I don't see a location in the thread and shipping is not an option for me when it comes to something like an axle. So where is it located?
I too am curious about the item location. I want an 8.8 and have not had any luck finding one in the JY. For a barebones axle I think the price is fair, and could possibly save me hours of JY scrounging (JY scrounging is always fun, but I like to actually find what I am looking for!). What about stock exploder 4.10 gearing? That is what I need.

4.10s are rare but we're always looking for them.
Also if anyone is interested in a stock explorer axle for $200, which is a couple hundred less than most JYs around here for an 8.8 with disc brakes
Sorry I can't find any specs on the 8.25, through searches all that comes up is that the 8.25 is not as strong as the dana 44, while the 8.8 is quite a bit stronger than the 44. thanks

Seriously guys. Especially the Cali dude. Give it a rest dude. He is selling a rebuilt 8.8 and instead of flogging his post with technical questions that he himself can not answer but could get the answer to a person truly interested purchasing said axle.
We have PM's for these kinds of issues. In the mean time I think I will clean up this for-sale thread and we can start over. I mean for heaven's sake it is a damn junk yard axle.
RJXJ just don't reply to this thread again. If you want to talk do it with PM's.
