Checking Interest! Custom Cubby Sub Box!
I have a ton of pics of work I have done for reference if anyone needs it. Last year I done a Dual 10" box for under the seat of a Ford F-250 Ex Cab. The guy had went to a Pro Shop and they told him if wasnt possible to build a box to fit two 10"s. It was a challenge but I built it none the less. Those subs were actually 11" be measuring.
Yeah I have been doing this stuff since i was around 14-15 too. I said "that being said it's a great looking box"
Nor will I tell you the physical difference between using particle board or medium density fiberboard. Because i CAN'T. which is why i put "wrong" in quotes. It's a sheep thing. People hear someone say "particle board is wrong" so they believe it. When i said i never used anything other than mdf, it's because thats what people wanted. Not because something else was wrong. I was trying to give you a few simple tips to stir up some more sales.
Now enough "arguing." I hope to see you make some sales because i think you've got a good product here. And again, i'm even interested in buying one, well because im burned out from the whole "customizing" thing. I'd rather let someone else do the fab work now. haha. I've gotta replace steering knuckles and balljoints FIRST though.

I know where you are coming from man. You are right people go on what they hear alot, Just nature kinda. I don't want to argue about it either. I know those XJ pod boxes are Junk and sound like it too.IMO look like crap to boot. Plus they are about 140.00 for a 8.
I have saw tests with a SQ meter on PB and MDF and there was not enough difference to justify having to use MDF that has more bad points then good.
Sorry for maybe sounding like a Dick if I did. I have met and dealt with a ton of people off forums and I like to get on here for info and give some when I can. Lot's of good people lerk on these forums and I don't want problems with em. Truce?
Oh and when and if you ever want one of these just pm me and we can work something out.

1. does it come capeted? and if so what color? or do i choose?
2. any kind of wiring jack or do i drill me some holes and wire it up to the sub direct>
3. i know bass is supposed to be nondirectional, but is there a difference in the volume I will hear with the sub pointed sideways versus pointing behind me?
4. there isn't any trim right, i just have to hack up my exsisting rear cubby plastic?
5. how is it mounted to the jeep so it doesn't flop around?
6. also pretty sure my sub vents out the back, like most do, will building the rear wall of the box that close to the back of the magnet have ill effects on my driver, cooling, air rebound ect.
also won't be able to swing $150 till after the holidays. sorry i couldn't help you out earlier.
thats more than i paid for my box tweeter built for me, but shipping is $$$ and it isn't crazy shaped to fit in my cherokee so it seems fair. I have a couple questions though.

1.Yes it comes carpeted,.They come black but I can also do other colors.
2.Holes are fine with the wire siliconed. Alot of terminals tend to leak air.
3.Bass is directional. The sub will be louder going to the side rather than straight at you. The best is to face subs to the back. The more directions bass can bounce off of something the louder it gets.
4.It will come with trim pieces to finish.
5.I used bolts to secure mine to the sheet metal inside the panel. It will have the L brackets on it.
6.Open air is not good for most subs. If they are vented to spec thats good but just open is not. Subs blow easier when they have no pressure from being sealed.
Its okay, Just hit me up when your ready. Thanks
