For that sub I would say about 150.00 shipped. I will half to make the box a little deeper and make some spacer rings so the magnet dont hit the back of the box,.

Which model premier is it? There are a few different ones. I need to know which one exactly so I can get the specs for it.

Thanks, No I use 5/8 Particle board. 3/4 MDF board has no better points about it then 5/8 PB does. Theres really no sound difference. 3/4 MDF weighs more,Cost more, and would with the extra thickness you lose air space and room compared to using PB. Only way you need MDF is if you are running a HUGE system. I had a show truck that had EIGHT 15" JL's in it. It was particle board still. It hit close to 160 DB!

not trying to be rude but let me help make some points.

You're selling a box, that the customer has to do fit and finish work on. I understand why and it makes sense but it's still a point.

You are making it out of particle board. I know that you had a show truck yada yada i read the whole thread, but i used to BUILD custom trucks and cars at my custom car shop, and we NEVER used particle board because it's not the proper material. Im sure it works fine, but people hear "dont use anything but mdf" so since you're not using MDF, they think it's "wrong"

You're asking a fairly high price for this product at christmas time. If you just got laid off, do like everyone else and give a price break. I can see how much material you're using there, and i KNOW you've got room for price break. Offer a bulk buy. If all those people place their order on the same day, you'll give them 30% off. I know you're still making money that way and you're investing not much besides time.

That being said, i think it's a great looking box, im glad someone made one to fit a 10" instead of an 8". If the price were a bit lower, i'd probably buy one, even though it's made of particle board, and not mdf and thats supposedly "wrong."

Please, take everything i've said as constructive criticism, and i hope you can make you and your family some money with this project.

ps-
The roof box, it could be done without too much trouble, however, i would not sell it as a DIY kit. I would only do it when i could install it in the truck myself, because i would pull the headliner and weld mounting studs to the crossmembers.

Thanks for your "Criticism" but The prebuilt Junky boxes for 8"s run about 140.00 and my boxes are worth way more then that in sound quality and apperance. Shipping is not cheap either. Its not like building a Plane Jane square box. It has curves in it inside and out. And then requires special trim pieces to tie it all in. I would rather install them in the Jeep's myself but thats no option unless someone is halfway close to me.

I didnt just decide to do this out of nowhere I kept getting pms for how much for plans or how much for a box cuz they liked it so well.

On the MDF just tell me some reasons that MDF is so much better then PB? It takes up more airspace and is not needed for strength in a small build for one sub. It will warp and swell if it gets soaked just like PB. The sound difference is non existent to the human ear! Plus it is heavier and would cost alot more to ship on top of costing almost double in price and its hard to find. Only place that has it is a Custom Cabinet shop.

Thanks for all the heads up but I have done this kind of thing since I was about 14.

Oh and here is the "Yada Yada" show truck setup I built. It was featured in auto sound & security magazine!

Here is the first setup I ran. EIGHT JL 15" W3's! The 16cuft box was made out of PB! With the JL's which are not that loud for SPL but it hit a 140DB drive by the mic and a 158.8 on the dash. Ran the box for years with no problems from the PB.

I got tired of that setup and started redoing it to mix it up a little bit.Heres a good view of what was right behind you when your sitting in it.

Amp rack unfinished.

Playstation sunk into the dash.LOL
