my jeeps been up there a week and noooo calls or emails, what is worng guys? honestly am i asking too much? i can go down some but just by adding up all my costs this is what i figured
bought the jeep for 4,900$ 6 months ago
3" RC lift 300$
2.5" spacers, shackles 100
trackbar 220
RC control arm drop down brackets 200
brake lines, and new shocks 250
quick discos 45
flowmaster exhaust 90
rims 300
tires 575
subs,box,amp,deck,speakers300
rebuilt tcase 200
random things like o2 sensors, plugs wires, light bulbs, whipers, power steering pump, serp belt, tensioner pulley
total=7,480$
I know i spent too much money on the thing when i really shouldnt have, and i know you dont always get what you put in but i figured 6k would be a fair price?
what you guys think for a price? what should i put up there?
thanks for the help

you can ask whatever you want. i have never seen your jeep in person. its just that once you lift it and do all those extras and they get used, they are worth as much as they should be. some times its better to part out and take it back to stock and sell it. but by then its so much work its not work it. i mean i think you have a nice rig, but with the economy and unstable gas prices, that jeep doesnt appeal to ask many people and for a price.

Yeah it is tough to sell a lifted XJ. Also I am curious how you got that D35 for the front axle..
Sorry had to poke a little fun..
Jeep looks good but like other poster said a lifted XJ is only appealing to a select market but keep it updated and keep trying you will find someone who wants it but I doubt you will for that price.

the lift and stuff doesn't bring up the actual value on paper. and like they've said, it only appeals to a certain group. and that group is notoriously cheap
. is it worth that much, probably, but will anyone be willing to pay it.
a lot of "us" would rather buy a 96 or so for less than half that and do our own mods. thats probably where your lack of interest is at.

to be honest, that is too much. not saying that its not worth it, but i think when something is lifted it goes down in value. people are gonna assume that you wheel it and that stuff is worn out on it. i agree with Jake. i would take it back to stock and sell of everything else.

Return it to stock and put all the parts in the back of your garage. Used Lift parts at most bring 60-75% of what you spent, and unless you KNOW you are getting out of wheeling/jeeping keep the parts. Thats why I have 3 lift kits and 4 sets of axles in my garage.

the front is a dana 30.
I dont know what your asking price was, and i am NOT saying this to lowball you (not looking to buy)
But to me, my asking price would start at $3800obo
and i would expect to get about $3500ish
Dont be offended by that, its just what they're going for. i know the parts add up to that alone. but your selling a rig with extras, not extra's for a rig...
BTW, you will NEVER get back money you put in for maintenance.
again. Really trying to be honest, not rude!

cool thanxs, i know i could put it up for like 3800 and it would sell right away but i got school loans to pay off, i just gonna keep it around 5-6000, ill keep it up for a few months and if it doesnt sell then thats cool cuz then i can still drive my baby
, and if it does sell then even cooler cuz i can pay off my loans, either way really dont wanna sell it unless it will pay for my student loans then what the hell, know what i mean? one thing is for sure, im gonna stop spending money on it lol gotta find me a cheap little ricer to drive around for MPG's

That would not sell for above $3000 here.
Not dish, just a region/reality check. Sorry that you spent that much money on it, but even $3500 to a newbie/someone who thinks it's the cat's meow I'd be surprised of.
If you think you could "sell it quick" for $4k, then why waste months of people laughing at the price when you could just sell it and have your money. $6k of "wanted" income is $0 vs $3000 of cash in your pocket.

I always troll forums looking for unfinished rigs and lift parts. I bought a couple of rigs that had several thousands of dollars in adapters and wiring harness's for less then 50 cents on the dollar. Complete running rigs only appeal to a select few ppl who can't/won't build their own rig. For the average jeeper your price is high as well. Your can't get a loan for what your are asking for your rig, which means a cash sale. Good luck with that in this economy.

Only price I see on the CL ad is $1. I'll buy it for that price and fly up and drive it home to Texas. Let me know fixitman. I'll give it to you in cash too. Four quarters be OK?
