If you used paypal then notify them asap! When i sell stuff on ebay or on the boards, my paypal is setup so that they dont release the funds till the person recieves the item & marks "package recieved" & then i get the funds. This ensures people of a good & honest transaction everytime.

Thanks for the advice.

I opened a dispute with paypal which basically means they contact the seller though his account. Hopefully, he'll still send the parts, but if not, it's nice to know that they will get me refunded.

As mentioned it says he's been on the forum last about 2 weeks ago. I THINK I sold him something once and may have his address but can't check until I get home from work tonight.

It's been almost a week since I began a dispute at PayPal. Basically, a dispute is no more than an email that attempts communication between buyer and seller. He hasn't responded yet.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and wait a couple more days, but then I can elevate the "dispute" to a "claim". At that point, PayPal will review and decide whether to refund me or not.

5 weeks is passed the "benefit of the doubt" stage. Besides, he's been online and didn't bother contacting you. I'd say turn it into a claim.

Today was a week since I opened the dispute...no response whatsoever, to me or to PayPal.

...so, today I elevated the dispute to a claim. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Next time, I'll chase down my own '99 intake, pull my own Neon injectors and get a bored throttle body from Jeff Leigh at strokedjeep.com. I've used him before and the throttle body came in quick and as advertised...I was just hoping this would be an easy one shot deal for all three.

Oh my. Always sad to hear when things go wrong as it makes people suspect all us guys who sell on here. But if you are still in need I have 3 '99+ intakes laying around here. I was planning on cleaning them completely and ceramic coating them one day but it's to much work so I'm just going to sell them "as is" for $70 shipped each. By "as is" I just mean they are dirty and greasy like you'd expect coming off a Jeep in the junkyard but they have no cracks, dings or dents and are fully functional.

I should have a resolution tomorrow. PayPal gave him until the 18th to respond to the fact he took my money in February and, as of yet, has shipped nothing.

Sorry to hear that man, that's BS. Hope everything works out for you. The guy I bought my XJ from was supposed to bring me 2 new rustys fiberglass buldge fenders the weekend after i bought it. its been 2 months and i cant get a hold of him. he had ordered them already (it was missing a fender at the time). Seemed like an honest guy. FFL dealer and about to be a cop. Atleast you have paypal to back you up.

Good news...PayPal decided in my favor and already put the full amount back on my card.

I just hate it went stuff like this happens. The vast majority of the folks out there are honest and fair. When someone screws, or tries to screw you, it tends to make you distrustful of people...and that's the real shame of it all.
