is there a limit as to how low you could mount these babies on an XJ's A-pillars ? seems most of the pix i've seen so far have them mounted about 4" or so up (significantly above level of mirrors) and i may like to put 'em lower , or closer to level of mirrors if possible .... would there be interference with fully opening hood if mounts & lights are too low ?

no i dont think the hood will come anywhere close... i liked the look better on the MJ above... however its harder to get the nuts on if you drill low near the dash on the back side... then again you could use SS self tapping bolts like i did and mount the anywhere from top to bottom and you dont have to pull the trim on the inside and try to put a nut on it or any of that... and i put o rings between the bracket and a pillar to seal water from getting in... only had to RTV the wires...

Pretty easy, most come with instructions, positive/negative wire....if unsure, bench wire them first so you know you have the wires correct & light them up, then simply do it on the vehical, typically everything is color coded.....
