I don't have any flow ratings between them. I did just add some 200 hole converters though.

What would you suggest for my rig?

98 ZJ 4.0L, Borla exhaust manifold so i would need a cat with the square mating flange from downpipe and still have correct length for "direct replacement" Borla catback combo.

Feel free to PM..

Hey, I just placed my order for the Magnaflow exhaust with tailpipe. Which HIGH FLOW cat would I need to oreder from you that would work best with the exhaust I ordered? I have a 99 XJ 4.0. Thanks. Just figured since im redoing the exhaust might as well put in a better cat to while im at it.

The flowmaster 40 and tailpipe you order from him is 2.5". Your factory exhaust is 2.25". So you can either do another 2.25" Cat and get a coupling that goes from 2.25" to 2.5" so you can install your new flowmaster exhaust. Or get a coupling that goes from 2.25" to 2.5" and install a 2.5" Cat and then install the new flowmaster exhaust. He also sells the couplings. I think they are labeled as 2.5"-2.25" reducers. On his website.

Remember to use the 5% discount code "CHEROKEEFORUM"

1987 - 1995 Jeep Cherokee (2.5L & 4.0L) / 1993 - 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee (4.0L & 5.2) - OBDI converters

Spun Converters:
Thunderbolt: 410225 - 11" overall length / 4" diameter / Ceramic Core 400 holes psi

Thunderbolt 415225 - This is a true High Flow converter. 11" overall length / 4" diameter / Metallic Core 300 holes psi. Keep in mind this will increase how loud your exhaust is.

Standard Converter:
AP Exhaust: 602545 - 16" overall length / 12" Body Length / Ceramic core 400 holes psi

Which one of these would be the loudest and work on an 89' 4.0 Cherokee?
