Roof rack goes for $550.00 and for the noise it is wind noise that over powers the sound of the shop XJ's 35's at fwy speed. It sounds like a door thats out of alinement and wind whistles through at speed. So we are working on 3rd set up and hope full we cured the noise issue.

To answer your question sir this kit dose not allow it to hang below your rear view mirror. Along with the fact on the outside edges of windshield there are markings of how much room you have work with before becoming a blind spot or blocking your view. Its no lower or any more than your typical windshield sticker from company's are. Also when you turn your sun visor down vertical (straight down for those how don't know) from the bottom of that to the light bar is an inch. According to CHP as long as it dose not impede your view its not illegal. And with California having the hardest veh. codes I don't think it will be an issue in other states.
