I think at this point it’s not really even about the skin plate, but about the habits of the company. Although a t-case skid is important. If you look at the underside of my Cherokee is a surprise that I haven’t destroyed my t-case yet and I’d like to have protection because I do wheel mine at least once a month on large rocks and with a group where I’m on the smallest tires so I have to beat up on it to get over things.
I'm just over here waiting for my warrantied arms to get shipped out.. Going on a month they said they were going to ship them out. Created a shipping label the 21st and said they went out.. Just cause you create a shipping label, doesn't mean they were shipped.. If they went out, ups would be showing in transit..

Brief review of my experience so far:
I purchased the Alpha 4 link set 11/22/17 before black friday. The website stated "Ships Same Day".
I received the last part of the set this afternoon (58 days later).
That being said, I specifically wanted a high clearance long arm 4 link with 2" OD .25" DOM Lowers and johnny joints. This is currently the only set with those options. The debatable thing that is missing is the ability to drop the transfer case.
The build quality is impressive. For what you get the price is more than fair.
If I ever need another 4 link I know where to go!

What do you mean by the missing ability to drop the transfer case?

Usually after a 3.5"+ lift you need a slip yoke eliminator and rear driveshaft.
A transfer case drop is sometimes used as a temporary low-cost solution.
I was also considering the Iron Rock Offroad XJ Rock-Link (3 link). One of the features I liked is that you can drop the center section of the cross member to drop the transfer case.
Rock Link Installation Instructions:
"If your transfer case will be dropped, install provided transfer case drop spacers between the subframe outers and center section using the
longer 50mm carriage bolts."
No doubt that 4 screws are better than two, however the geometry of the cav fab center section does not allow you to drop it lower.

Most everyone who has put a long arm kit on a Cherokee is willing to put a sye in. I wouldn't want to put any extra leverage on the crossmember that is holding my transmission and my front axle in place by dropping it and adding spacers. Also, you were talking about high clearance arms, a transfer case drop negates the extra clearance.

As stated it is debatable. Dropping the center section would not effect the control arms.
The difference to me is that I have to park my jeep for two weeks+ while I find the time to install the lift then wait for a driveshaft to come in.
To me it's worth the hassle. One detail could have saved me a large headache though.

Drive it with just the front shaft, no need to wait on the rear shaft to come in.

No offense but there’s thousands of builds/experiences here To understand the need of a nessacery detail about needing a sye/driveshaft and not using a cheap solution to get you by.
Just because cavfab doesn’t state that it can be used with or without a transfer case drop. the center section wouldn’t be the ideal spot to do it. it would be at the unibody frame rails
When you do your sye
You might even be able to use your front driveshaft or get one from a junkyard (after you’ve taken measurements) for under $100 until you buy an aftermarket one if you need one for your style of off-roading
