I'm inclined to say no, but only because I don't know what else you have going on there to end up with that combination of parts under your XJ. I'd need some more info, and some pics of your setup before we could say for sure. Feel free to PM me to discuss it further.

I have an '86 which was still AMC (all makes combined) this is my stock setup. I am currently on the other side of the world from my jeep so the pictures will have to wait till I get home next month. From what I have read the main difference between the ax-5 and ax-15 is case material. I have also gathered that the major difference between the 207 and 231 are the internals. I have not seen a side by side comparison for the mounts for the two t-cases though.

This might be a dumb question, but since its a three link kit, do you need to replace your passenger uca with a longer one?

Nope, you end up only using the driver upper arm to create slight triangulation with both lcas.

I have a question for those that have had theirs a while now as well. My first upper heim lasted all of 3 days of street driving before developing a clunk. Ok, maybe bad heim from RS(I used RS heims right off the bat and saved the B Lee ones as spares), so warrantied the heim for a new one. Was doing good for a couple weeks until the jeeps first wheeling since rebuild, and now the second one is clunking even worse than the first.

I can crawl under the jeep and push/pull the upper arm and hear the clunking, however there is no visible play anywhere.

Being my first experience with heims, I don't know if it's ANOTHER bad heim from RS, the teflon liner wore too quick, not enough threads into the link(jam nut is on very tight), or just how heims sound after break in. It's obnoxiously loud in the cab, and can be heard even just driving down the road, not hitting bumps.

Insight from anyone would be awesome, I'm thinking of calling up B Lee and asking for an upper arm with a 7/8 heim, because my lowers have been SOLID ever since installing and I feel like maybe my rig is asking for too much from a single 3/4 upper.

I ran my kit on 35s as a DD/wheeler for a good while and never had issues with noises..and was quite suprised at how quiet the heims were.

Is it possible there is an issue with the axle end upper mount/joint?

No I checked all joints. I rocked the jeep back and forth and you can feel the clunk on the frame upper heim. Everything else is solid. Nothing looks bound up either.

Mine clunk too. I spray some silicone all over them and it goes away. I have to do it every few weeks.

Your best bet is to call him directly

That won't work either. I tried yesterday, 3/7, his voicemail box is full.

Not a good sign.

Dont jump to conclusions..
I live 20 minutes from Brian, and spoke with him both yesterday and today.

You have to realize..for someone whose business is taking off as much as his is he gets very busy...

Drop him a text or a facebook message if needed too..

I don't have Facebook, and I don't see how that can be a quicker way of getting ahold of him. If it is that's silly.

I'm not jumping to conclusions, but I've seen it with many small companies before; the business takes off fast and they weren't prepared for it and before you know it bad word of mouth pretty much ruins them or halts sales for a while.

I can appreciate small businesses trust me, if I have the option I usually buy from them. Maybe he needs to hire a worker or two? I don't know but at least set aside a day to catch up on paper work and phone calls, or have someone, anyone, do it.

I ended up just buying the weld bung and 7/8 heim to do my self, I don't have forever to wait, I need it done in 2 weeks.

Seems to me like you are.. and you even said it yourself, he has a small business with many orders. That tells me people like his product and are ready to wait to get it, but since you're special you should get some type of special treatment. And sounds to me like you're the one trying to start the bad word to mouth, you haven't even bought anything and find a way to complain. You're simply making a mountain out of a mole hill.
