Kid, are you serious? Stfu, you have no idea what you're even talking about haha.

I have his long arms, my brother has his long arms, and my friend has his steering. Did you even read the thread or just read my post and jump to a conclusion?

I bought a product, I shouldn't have to wait weeks to hear back from the company I bought it from. Maybe that's your thing though, who knows.

Again I can appreciate small businesses, but as you made perfectly clear, because I did forget, it is 2016; he could easily respond to emails or voicemails in an hour. An hour.

I'm not complaining about the product, let me make that clear, nor am I complaining about service, I simply said he should make time to respond to all media inquires. For everyone.

But according to you that makes me selfish.

I love my LA's. Everyone I know with his stuff loves it too. I recommend his stuff to anyone and everyone. Again I'm just stating he should spend an hour to catch up all voicemails/emails so more cans be left.

All the haste in the last post was towards the poster that read one post out of the whole thread and assumed something; apparently thinking he's above us all and that stating the year means I need to have Facebook haha.

If you can get a hold of him tell him to clear his voicemails first so we can leave messages.

Sorry guys, today is my catch-up-on-messages-and-voicemails-and-emails-and-texts day. I'll answer each question individually. I haven't disappeared, and yes - Facebook is the easiest and fastest way to have a question answered. Either my personal page or the shop page, both are open lines of real time communication for us.

We're adding staff, we're increasing production, and we're shipping parts daily. We're also dropping other pieces of the business that are too time consuming to focus on producing parts. It's a growing process, we're adapting, and we're in it for the long haul. All of this is because of your support, and I cannot say thank you enough to everyone for that!

Was doing good for a couple weeks until the jeeps first wheeling since rebuild, and now the second one is clunking even worse than the first.

I can crawl under the jeep and push/pull the upper arm and hear the clunking, however there is no visible play anywhere.

Being my first experience with heims, I don't know if it's ANOTHER bad heim from RS, the teflon liner wore too quick, not enough threads into the link(jam nut is on very tight), or just how heims sound after break in. It's obnoxiously loud in the cab, and can be heard even just driving down the road, not hitting bumps.

Insight from anyone would be awesome, I'm thinking of calling up B Lee and asking for an upper arm with a 7/8 heim, because my lowers have been SOLID ever since installing and I feel like maybe my rig is asking for too much from a single 3/4 upper.
I'm not sure you gained anything by swapping in the RS heims over ours, other than the clunking noise. I have had that noise on some of our old kits with those heims, but the heims we use now I have had zero issues with. Did you try putting our heim back in your upper link?

I have been running the same heims in the same 3 link under my Jeep for almost 3 years now. I get a squeak from the heim in my upper link periodically, but a shot of WD-40 remedies it for another few months.

Did you already order the 7/8" bung & heim? Did that fix your clunk?

Anything going on with adding skids to the crossmember? Looking add a little Tranny pan coverage as well as the T-case.

That is still on the drawing board, we haven't yet had the R&D time available for this project.

It's not that I was worried about your heims or that I thought they were inferior. It's that I had to order heims for my trackbar and being the OCD person that I am I wanted all heims from one manufacturer. I haven't put yours back on, it's buried in my wheeling bin all zip tied up. But I did order the 7/8 heim and weld bung and am just waiting for it to arrive and I'll let you know how it goes. I could deal with a squeak, but clunking I can feel and hear over everything else on my rig just driving down the road was annoying haha. I can't imagine getting 2 bad RS heims back to back. Possible in sure, but not likely.

Also like above let us know when you start working on skid options, I'd love to just be able to buy a bolt on one and not deal with fabbing one.

And another question, starting another build, a Juggy(jeep buggy), I want a winch stubby bumper and went to go look at yours, but there is only one photo on your webpage and it's very close, I can't even tell where the winch mounts.

I'd like to get a stubby where the winch mounts behind the stubby, requiring me to cut off the front crossmember, that way it's nice and tucked.

Could you post more pics of your winch stubby somewhere?

Thank you for getting back to us, like I said above I recommend your stuff to everyone.

For what's it worth, Ruffstuff Heims' quality have gone down in last few years. I probably replaced about total of a dozen Heims in last two years on friends' jeeps and they all are less than a year when it needed replacing. (All of them were 5/8, 3/4, and 7/8 Heims. So far it looks like their 1.25 Heims are still of good quality.

I never managed to get a reply to my email. Unfortunate because he was on top of the first email I sent.

UPDATE:

Got the old bung cut off, and new one welded on. With the new 7/8 heim installed all noise is completely gone. The weird thing is the 3/4 one coming off had no visual play, but was making all the noise. However I do still have a noise on take off from a stop, almost like a hole is wallowed and a bolt is moving. I have checked everything over multiple times and don't see where it could be coming from. As far as the clunking though it is completely gone for now, we'll see if it stays away.
