I have an install manual for my remote starter:

I found a wiring diagram on autozone, as well as got a parts guy at chrysler to email me some wiring diagrams for the 92 jeep cherokee, attached.

Then I found some information on 12volt.

I went under the dash to the wires closest to the steering wheel/ignition harness. There are a lot of wires!

I know I need to go under the dash with a multimeter and try these wires now. I think many people have done this before, so maybe you could share the wire colours if you have? I was a bit doubtful because the solid coloured wires are about 8guage? and the double coloured wires are thinner but I think the starter and ignition wires are there...

any help?

Connect your wires all inside the cab. But you need to put your ignition wire through the firewall and splice it into your green ignition wire right by your Ecu. I've got a 92 with that auto start.
