These are pretty straight forward to install...I think they look pretty nice...especially for $100 from JC Whitney.

I got the 2 1/4" no lip (surface mount). These things are 1/4" thick rubber...pretty solid once they're screwed on (I used self tapping screws instead of the included screws and pre-drill method). On tight corners, it wants to buckle...but, per the instructions, I just cut the mounting surface in a "V" pattern and was able to get the buckle to smooth out. Took several hours to install, but I think it was worth it.

If I hadn't have just painted over the fender this weekend
, I would add theses.. I think it would look weird now..
They look really good
, and very good price..
How far from the edge up do they cover?

Wow those look great I saw another thread about these a couple days ago but couldn't figure out where to get them. For 100 bucks I'm definitely looking into these. Does the flare cover the front lip enough to keep the tire from getting ate up on the sharp edge?

The mounting surface is 1.5"...so they will cover that amount above fender opening. Yes, my fenders are trimmed above the holes...I rolled them...even the fronts..to eliminate sharp edges. The possibilities for these are endless. No matter how you have your fenders trimmed, you can probably make these work. If you're having trouble finding them...on the link in my OP, click-flexy flare-universal fit-no lip (surface mount)...that should get you there. If you look on JCW (where I bought them) just search Pacer Flexy Flare and then there is a button for modify item or something...that lets you pick the style and size. There is no model specific version...you have to use the universal fit.
I have a few install pics in my profile.
Hope that helps.

Not at all...rather than just cut the fender, leaving you with a sharp edge, I cut vertical tabs to a depth that I wanted to widen my fender openings and then rolled ( with a rubber mallet) each tab up and under the inside of the fender. This creates a smooth edge on the newly shaped fender and may ??? also help retain some strength. Its the same method that some people use for the rear fenders when they are trimmed.
thank you very much for the info, I rolled all 4 of my fenders today and will be getting the flexy flares in the near future. I love the look of your jeep too, very clean looking.
