14-bolt build for MJ
I'm finally starting on my 14 bolt build for the rear of my MJ.
Scored 2 of these from my shop for $100. both with fresh rebuilds (some years ago).
going to set it up with anti wrap leaf spring perch's. 5.13 gears, Grizzly locker, HD diff cover, Shave bottom of housing, Pinion guard, Disc brakes, truss and possibly a traction arm.
Brand new 3.73 gears... Not gonna do me much good...
Shiny parts are always nice to see

Its a Dana 60. shortened with chromoly inner shafts... Details for that are in my Comanche build thread
Yes, I plan on running the Barnes4wd Diff cover. Just bolt it on and remove the excess housing area. No shaving the ring gear or needing to re-weld the bottom of the housing.

Old brackets removed and the anti wrap leaf perches welded up. Also removed all the factory HEAVY drum assy's
Had to do a little repair work to my factory leaf spring mount(s). Axle isn't "ready" for install yet BUT I did want to check my fitment for the perch's
Just ordered up the Grizzly locker this weekend, should be here within the next week. Gears and install/setup to come

Did some final touche's with the grinder to the bottom of the housing and smoothed it all over with a flap wheel. New break rotors installed onto the hubs. Then some paint for the axle and some paint dipping for the pinion support. Mounted it under the jeep with the Ruffstuff u-bolts and plates. Shock mounts will come later on in my build.
Not afraid to rock a little Pink on this MJ.
