96 grand cherokee idle adjust
I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee. The idle is around 1500 rpms when it is warmed up. This just seems too high and I feel it should be around 700 to 1000. I tried cleaning my throttle body intake and lubed my throttle cables but it didn't help. Could this be my idle air control valve?? Or do I need to do something else? It has the 5.2L V8 engine.

It may very well be the IAC, but there also was a post where the pedal was hanging up on an electrical cable under the dash. Weird but true.

I'm starting to notice now that the idle is really inconsistent. Sometimes it is high and other times perfect. The gas pedal is not sticking or getting hung up. That would be IAC correct?
