Here's the story of my Jeep. Late July 2012 I decided to buy a Jeep Cherokee and sell my 2008 Chevy Cobalt. I got tired of borrowing SUVs for when I go fishing so a Cherokee seemed to be the perfect vehicle. Found mine on Craigslist for $2,500 its a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, I6 4.0L with 116,000 miles, had 1 owner and from Pennsylvania. Not much rust which is a big deal up here in Upstate New York. After I bought it and looked at this site, I decided it will also be Zombie, Apocalypse, BOV, etc... This will be done slowly, hence the title.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the white paint and maroon/purple interior. So to start making it my own Jeep, it needed some colors. Black spray painted rims, black caliber paint on calibers and drums, spray on bedliner to the outer trim.

And my wife designed some zombie themed stenciling for the back.

I bought the roll of webbing from Amazon and some small nuts and bolts from Ace Hardware. Just need to make more rows and find more of my extra MOLLE pouches.

Sweet! I still have to update my build page. Mine is a SHTF/Zombie Apocalypse Jeep as well.

 

Good to know that there a few people getting ready for something to go down. Reading the Zombie Survival Guide was definitely a big help for me.
