Been awhile since I updated this build. I made my first road trip this weekend flawlessly in my Jeep over the weekend. 300 mile trip from Fort Drum, NY to Manchester, CT. On the way down I kept my speed at 60 MPH with cruise control on. Still had gas left in the tank, actually got 23 MPG, I'm amazed by that. On the way back to NY at 65 MPH with cruise control on I got 21 MPG.
My parents are moving to a new place in Manchester and my dad gave me his CB radio from when he was a truck driver (about 10 years ago). So I'll eventually get the CB set up.
Also got my rear windows tint at 35%. Figured it was the best combination of privacy and functionality when doing outdoors stuff. (Notice my duct tape fixed bumper?)

More importantly I installed my brush guard. I got it off Craigslist and it didn't have light covers, so i made some out of rebar. Used spray on bedliner on the entire thing and grade 8 nuts and bolts.

Got my CB radio added, its the Cobra 29 LTD my dad used when he was a trucker. Only got a mag mount antennae since I'm not gonna be using it a whole lot. But its a start for communication in the apocalypse.
Also had a random thought the other day. I remembered how we used glint tape, aka glow in the dark tape, when I was deployed. Mainly had it around the hydraulic controls on MaxxPros. So I picked up 5 yards at Clothing Sales and started using it. Got a strip near the transmission, under the gauges, near my fishing pole holders. Possibilities are endless and it was like $10.
