Opinions on Dorman products please
I have leaking transmission cooler lines and the only ones I can find as replacements are from Dorman. I bought a Dorman master cylinder for a camaro I used to have, and I wasn't impressed. So what do you guys think of Dorman?

They have such a vast array of auto parts that it's hard to really evaluate. I have bought a window regulator & bump stops for my Dodge & they were fine. Bought a fan clutch for the same vehicle & while it works pretty much as it was intended, it is noisy at odd times, so much so that I got a refund from the seller. I personally would not buy electrical parts like sensors with a Dorman tag ... but that's just me. I have bad luck with any electrical replacement part that wasn't Dodge or Jeep.

I also bought the lower tranny line. From Napa. Pretty sure it is a rebranded Dorman. Replaced it when I put in a new radiator. Had a little notch on it from rubbing the steering box. Wasn't leaking or anything but figured while I was there. I bought the connector too but ended up returning it. Could not for the life of me get it off. Couple tips. Buy the tool to get the line off. Take the entire elbow off the radiator, found a 19mm, pretty sure that is the size I used, crowfoot flare works best and then use the tool to remove the line from the elbow. Clean first cause all the gunk in there will not let you push in the removal tool to release it. Also use a little vaseline on the end of the elbow to not roll the O Ring in the new line.

I have seen a lot of posts and videos showing or discussing the questionable quality of various "smaller" Dorman parts. Such as sensors, and small things like seal replacement kits.
However, I have bought 3 heavy items that were Dorman now, and each has been really good stuff at decent prices. I was really happy with my Dorman leaf springs that came in at about $100 each with bushings pre-installed. I also bought the Dorman shackles to go along with the leaf springs, and they came with bushings and 2 extra full sized bolts (the kind that can be used for leaf spring eyes on the XJ). Those extra bolts come in very handy when you have to cut a couple getting the leaf spring out. Finally, last weekend I swapped out my old steering knuckles with the Dorman replacements at a about $125 each. With all of these larger/heavier mostly metal products I have been very happy with their quality, appearance, and fit.
