Front axles for a 99 XJ
So get this... After the front pinion bearing going and destroying my ring and pinion I get new gears, get them set by a reputable shop, and get it home, only to find out that some nimrod who owned the jeep before me welded the ujoint to the front passenger side axle I guess to keep it together. What kind of idiot does that crap?
I pulled the axles out in a hurry in a McDonalds Parking lot after the pinion bearing went south and didnt even notice at the time. So now I have to find a replacement axle for it. I cant afford new axles, so I guess its off to the junkyard I will go.
Does anyone know which years, will fit my Jeep. I think I read someone there there are a couple of different size ujoints and possibly splines for different year axles, and I want to match the other side of course. So what year axles will work with my 99?
Is it 95 and up? Or is it a different year?
Thanks

You want a complete Dana 30 or just the shafts?
Straight swap should be anything high-pinion without the vacuum disconnect, about 91-99. 2000-2001 shafts would be fine but the low pinion is undesirable. I'm not sure of compatibility from RENIX and down.
