Default Ford 8.8 axle

what all is involved in a ford 8.8 swap?

got to talkin to a dude a while back and he said they were a bolt on, i have an 8.8 and some say they are awesome, some say go for the 9's but thats not my question. My question is what all is involved with swappin them out, like Ebrake, and mounts?

I need a little help so PM me if you have done this before, or post it below so we can all see!

Please, and thanks!

I don't have an e brake right now but
what you need to do is cut about half the return spring off the brake end
get two of the cable eye and two cable clamps the you hook the eye on the e brake arm wrap the cable around it and clamp

95-01 explorers is your best option because these will be 31 spline and have disc brakes
prior to that will have drums
open the drivers door and look at the sticker on the bottom of the door jam ON THE DOOR and look for code D2 under axle.
D2 = 4.10 limited slip
42 = 4.10 open
D4 = 3.73 L/S
46 = 3.73 open
D5 = 3.55 L/S
45 = 3.55 open
