So my transfer case refuses to shift to 2H... The roads were very slippery today, so I threw it in 4H for more traction. Now it wont disengage AT ALL... When I put it in 2H, the whole damn truck begins to shake, rattle and vibrate but when I put it in 4H again, it stops shaking but I notice it is more sluggish when I normally drive in 4H. The tires start to bind and chop when I make turns, and I feel a slight vibration from the undercarriage at around 45 mph

. I tried disengaging the TC, driving in reverse for almost 200ft, and still same thing. My brother, who owns a 93' YJ, told me to get under my XJ and manually disengage the TC, but I really dont think that will work.

WTF is wrong with my jeep? my last resort is pulling out the front driveshaft until I can afford to have it diagnosed and fixed, but I would rather do it myself first.

Any suggestions?
